Gangotri is the place high in the Garhwal Himalayas from where the holy Ganges originates. According to the legend, it was here the Ganga descended on the earth, when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair. The temple of Gangotri, dedicated to Goddess Ganga stands on the bank of the river. The original temple was constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. Nearby is ‘Bagirath Shila’, which is the rock on which King Bhagirath worshipped the Lord Shiva.
Yamunotri is situated in the western region of the Garhwal Himalayas and is at a height of 3,235 metres above sea level. Yamunotri is the source of the river Yamuna. The shrine of Yamunotri is located on the Bandar Poonchh peak. The temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna was built by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur. There are a few thermal water springs around the temple, which contain various medicinal properties. Devotees to the shrine of Yamunotri take a dip in these hot water springs.

On arrival Haridwar, In the evening, we receive you. Dinner and Overnight stay at Rishikesh. (This is your arrival day in Haridwar and rishikesh where services are included in this package. You may ask or this additional arrangements to our executive for your stay and other assistance.)
Day 1 – Rishikesh – Massoorie (84km/2hrs)
Today morning we drive from Rishikesh to Massoorie The 84 km enjoyable journey takes almost 3 hours. Lunch will be provided on the way. Visit amazing Company Garden in Massourie, a home to flowers accompanied by the experience of boating. Take an exciting cable car ride to Gunhill and relish the beauty of nature. Drive to the Kempty fall via Mall road. Rove around the local market. Overnight stay at hotel at Mussoorie.
Day 2 – Masoorie – Barkot ( 134km/4-5hrs )
Wake up early, take breakfast and then embark on the Massourie Barkot trip of 134 km (4 hour 32 min) to reach Barkot. Lunch will be provided on the way. Enjoy the day doing some thrilling tasks at the Verda Camp. Local sightseeing followed by visit to local markets. Overnight stay at Barkot.
Day 3- Barkot – Yamnotri – Barkot (24km/5km trek)each side
After a brekfast drive to Jankichatti (45 km), the last point where you can take the car. This starts the exciting point of the Yamunotri trip. Take a pony or palanquin or have an exciting trekking to the Yamunotri Temple for the darshan of the black idol of Yamuna Devi. On return take a bathe in the Yamuna River with priests in attendance to conduct obligatory rituals. Return to Jankichatti, board the vehicle and proceed to Barkot for the night halt.
Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River.
Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows intonumerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
Day 4 – Barkot – Uttarkashi- (80km/4Hrs)
Take breakfast and leave for Uttarkashi (80 km) where, on its way you will be welcomed by the mesmerizing view of the snow capped Himalayas reflecting the morning sunshine. Take a stop for a darshan at the Vishwanath Temple and have a short walk to enjoy the esteemed beauty of nature from the Sukhi top. End you day’s journey at Harsil and halt the night.
Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi at an altitude of 1158 m above sea level. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.
Day 5 – Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100km/5-6Hrs)
Early morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Gangotri. Nestled in the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas, Gangotri is set at an altitude of 3048 mts. Upon arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin Visit the Gangotri Temple. Perform Pooja after that and relax for some time in the lovely surroundings, afternoon we visit a beautiful place harsil then we drive back to Uttarkashi, on arrival check into the Hotel.
Day 6 – Uttarkashi – Rishikesh
Early morning, after breakfast, you drive downhill to Rishikesh a spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. On the way we visit in Tehri. there is a halt at Tehri Dam, Asia’s highest dam and also a scenic picnic spot. In evening we come to Rishikesh. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 – Rishikesh – Haridwar Sideseeing
Early morning, after breakfast you’ll do the Rishikesh sightseeing visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. Evening drive to Haridwar and visit Mansa Devi temples of Haridwar and in the evening visit Ganga Aarti in Har ki pauri, after this we drop at Railway station for your departures. At this last day, our services concludes here in Haridwar We wish here the prosperous and spiritual , healthy life ahead and may you have all blessings from the almighty Godheads and abodes.
